About LeNai
20 Years Experience Caring For Dogs & Cats
I am a very active and I love animals. I have a degree in Animal Science from UC Davis and I’ve worked professionally with cats and dogs of all temperaments. While in school I raised a puppy named Norman who successfully completed training with Guide Dogs for the Blind and was placed with a person in need. I’ve volunteered with local animal shelters by fostering unweaned puppies and kittens.

Lenai is the best dog sitter I have ever used. I have had dogs all of my life so we have had numerous dogsitters over the past 50 years. Lenai teaches the dogs manners and works so well with them they they trust her implicitly. I watched her as she washed my 100 lb Rotty that didn’t even attempt to get away from her. He even seemed like he liked it! It was unbelievable. My dogs are so well behaved from spending time with her I was just thinking what would I do if something happen to my dogs! How would I make it to train two more rottys and then I thought to myself well I will just have to have Lenai come and live In (smile) until they would be tolerable.

LeNai was a godsend. I have two senior mixed breed dogs that needed company while I was away for a few days. My oldest, Maxasaurus, needed medication. LeNai came over to visit and they both Saurus and Disney, fell in love with her. She is very detail oriented, like I am, so she was well prepared for my little Angels. From the first day, there were happy pictures of the wee ones on walks, being themselves, and settling in. Talk about a huge sigh of relief. After four days, I returned to find two well taken care of Angels.

I was looking for someone to walk my dog a few times a week as I tend to work long days and also to help me work on some of my dogs behavioral problems. So far, LeNai has been wonderful with Blakely and has surpassed my expectations. She really understands dog behavior and why they act and react the way they do. She works with Blakely in a calm yet knowledgable and effective approach which is actually yielding quite fast results. She also sends lots of updates with pictures and videos which I look forward to very much! It helps me stay connected and understand the progress that’s being made. I’m very excited to continue my journey with her and my little one 🙂

She gave me “homework” to ensure Peppa doesn’t lose what she’s learned. She talked to me as she worked with Peppa making sure I knew what she was doing and how to replicate.

During a 4-day trip, she stayed at our home and kept us in the loop with frequent video and photo updates of her adventures with our dog Buffalo Bill. She is very attentive and warm with our dog, and he seemed to be very comfortable with her. LeNai gave us the peace of mind to really enjoy our vacation and come home to a very happy and healthy dog.
